About MARSMars is a traveling photographer who documents weddings and portraits through a blend of digital and analog film. Her work is shaped by an editorial sensibility and a focus on quiet, fleeting details—moments that feel natural, intentional, and true to the people within them.
Her path to photography started with a love for noticing light—how it falls across a room or changes the way a moment feels. Over time, her curiosity moved beyond the technical side of the camera and became more about people—their emotions, gestures, and the details that tell their story. Weddings allow her to capture the layered energy of a celebration, while portraits give space to slow down and notice the subtler connections between people.
Based in Salt Lake City, Mars often works in California and Seattle. Outside of photography, she finds grounding with her husband Josh and their dog Boo Boo. She enjoys tending to her plants, visiting art museums, exploring culinary experiences, and adding to her growing orchid collection. More often than not, you’ll find her indulging in a good movie and embracing a slow, homebody rhythm of life.
